Little Shabby's Room Re-do
Since we moved in Little Shabby has had a very pale baby-ish green
room. We just threw in her furniture and kept saying "before {insert
party/event here} we will finish up her room!" And of course many events
passed and a couple years went by and still the green walls and
theme-less room existed!!
Then one glorious week I got the itch, I called the Hubby and said "GET ME SOME PAINT!" And so it began . . . Here is the finished project! And the dresser was a bargain find that was redone, but don't ask for before pics because they don't exist!! Sometimes I dive into a project and halfway realize I have no before pics!!

Sponge Bombs
Were are in full party mode again, its that time of year! This year we are having a Splish Splash Birthday Bash, and here is our first project!
I saw this idea on Pinterest, of course, and immediately thought; alternative to water balloons so I won't have to be collecting water balloon remnants from my backyard for the rest of summer! So off to the dollar store we went and it wouldn't be a Shabby Chicks project if we didn't tweek it to our liking!! So here we go . . .

So off to the dollar store we went and it wouldn't be a Shabby Chicks project if we didn't tweek it to our liking!! So here we go . . .
You will need:
Two sponges (got ours from the dollar store, 2 pack/$1)
Rubber bands
Scissors
Cut sponges in half . . . .
Then cut each half, in half . . .
Do this for both sponges . . .
Stack them up like this, we tried stacking each and every way (colorwise) and they pretty much end up coming out looking the same!
Take your rubber band and place it in the middle of your stack!
{This is our "tweek" on the blog we saw, they used floss and we tried that and it didn't seem sturdy enough and it required the two of us, one to hold and one to tie. We knew there had to be a better way! There was}
Keep wrapping the rubber band around and make sure it is SUPER tight!
Twist and turn to make the sponges go in each direction and just play around with them and thats it!
Super easy and cheap alternative to water balloons!!
Thanks for stopping by . . .

Bubble Gum machine!
Shabby Wendy's Bubble gum machine, taken apart painted Heirloom White (what else?) Put back together and finally a new mechanism to make sure that all guests pay for their bubble gum!! It will be a slow profit . . . but ONE DAY Shabby Wendy will have some money in there!!
Table Redo!
$10 table from Goodwill (there is another chair but we took it apart before the picture, oops!)
Covered the seats with fabric, and covered the table top with fabric and plastic . . . Its for a one year old, its NEEDS plastic!!
Teacher Gifts . . .
I totally got this one from Pinterest, but its still an awesome one!!
This one was from last year, we made cookies and put them in the jar with a tag that said:
"Thanks for making me one smart COOKIE"
Little Shabby's teacher last year had a snack bag that was falling apart at the seams . . . literally! And she had been very special to us and especially Little Shabby, so we had to fix that!!
Filling up some wall space . . .
Just wall art, some for me some for some friends!
Larger than life ruler growth charts!!
(In person the darker one you can actually see the numbers, blame the iPhone!)
Amazing what you can do with some left over fence posts!
First day of School!
Little Shabby starts Kindergarten in 2 days . . . My how the time has flown! I cannot believe my BABY is old enough to go to school! But no time get all weepy I have to make sure we send her off as looking cool! And that means that we need to get crafting!
I have seen all the little printables and little notes for the kiddos lunch boxes and well I know me all to well to know that after the first or second day I will totally forget! So what better way than a chalkboard IN the lunch box! That way every night when we go to make the lunch I will remember to leave Little Shabby a love note!
p.s. Do you know how hard it is to find a HARD lunch box now a days? Very hard and then after my long hard search, I get the supply list that says a soft one is preferable!

Canvas projects . . .
Got some new Craigslist shelves, that I'm going to paint, but I need stuff to put on them so I got cracking on my "To-DIY" list that is ever growing on Pinterest!!
The brown one is lacking some pizazz and once I figure it out I'll post a finished project!!

Pink Lemonade Party
Some Pink Lemonade "To-go"!!
This year for Sophie's party we asked our guests to bring books with or instead of a gift so that we could donate to the Harris County Library! We can't wait to take all these lovely books and I can't thank everyone enough for helping us teach Sophie that it is just as important to give back as it is to give!
